SACRED LITTLE SCENES
Let’s talk to the beautifully abnormal + anomalous humans behind the booths. Part interview, part stylized ad campaign, all art, this is a love letter to the artists, crafters, creators, curators, apothecarians, healers, shamans, entertainers, intuitives, makers, readers, seers, psychics, fashionistas, haberdashers, practitioners, & oddity collectors that give these markets meaning. Together, we’ll explore where they find inspiration, how they source materials, what parts of their craft they’re most passionate about, where they could use a little extra community support, and the stories hiding behind the things they create with their own hands.
VENDOR & ENTERTAINMENT SPOTLIGHTS + SHADOWING

Every Dawn of a New Market event brings together a constantly shifting mix of artists, vendors, entertainers, collectors, performers, and attendees, which means no two markets ever carry quite the same energy twice. Some vendors become familiar faces you look forward to seeing every event while others appear like passing little fever dreams - here for one magical evening before disappearing back into the shadows with their strange little treasures in tow.
Because of that, this section serves as a growing spotlight rather than a complete catalog of every single person who has attended or participated. Those features here focus primarily on artists, entertainers, makers, and community members who frequently help shape the atmosphere of these events, along with those who have expressed interest in being interviewed, photographed, filmed, or showcased here on the page.

Scarah is a horror-inspired entertainer, spooky glamour creature, and beautifully theatrical force of nature blending dark femininity, camp, chaos, and vintage scream queen energy into one unforgettable presence. Equal parts eerie and enchanting, she drifts through the market like a haunted daydream in platform boots, bringing theatrical performances, macabre aesthetics, and just enough beautifully doomed energy to make you question whether you’re attending a market or accidentally wandering into a gothic cult classic.
DAMSEL OF THE DOOMED
SCARAH

Scarah, also known as Sarah Webb, is a Texas-based horror hostess, actress, filmmaker, podcaster, live entertainer, and walking gothic cult classic wrapped in platform boots and theatrical eyeliner. Frequently appearing at alternative markets, horror conventions, goth nights, Halloween events, oddities expos, nightlife gatherings, drag and burlesque-adjacent spaces, spooky vendor markets, drive-ins, and immersive horror experiences like Bat City Scaregrounds in Buda, Texas, Scarah has become one of those people who feels less like a performer and more like accidentally stumbling into a late-night horror movie marathon hosted by the coolest woman you’ve ever seen lurking in the fog machine haze. Her work exists in spaces where theatricality, self-expression, camp, and horror culture are encouraged instead of politely watered down for the comfort of strangers.
As for what she actually does? A little bit of everything hauntingly entertaining. Through independent horror filmmaking, immersive live events, themed appearances, and projects like Damsel of the Doomed and Scarah’s Screamcast, she blends horror hostess energy, crowd interaction, spooky glamour modeling, theatrical comedy, immersive character work, and dark feminine camp into one walking fever dream. One moment she’s posing like a resurrected scream queen beside a booth full of cursed dolls and taxidermy raccoons, the next she’s hyping up attendees, hosting horror experiences, or drifting through the crowd with the exact energy of “final girl who absolutely knew the house was haunted but went inside anyway.” Equal parts eerie, nostalgic, funny, and magnetic, Scarah feels like the physical manifestation of growing up oddly comforted by haunted houses, VHS horror sections, practical effects, creature features, and women covered in fake blood making objectively terrible decisions on screen.
If you’re a maker, vendor, performer, musician, artist, or wandering little night creature interested in being highlighted on the page, don’t be shy about reaching out. I’m always excited to spotlight the people, stories, and creations helping make these events so exciting!
